130 years. Five generations. A home for a while.
When the Brenner Railway connected Klausen with the world in 1895, the Gasthaus Krone was built opposite the station. Today it has become a Smart Apart Hotel, completely reimagined from the ground up.

Our story
Three sisters and a pioneer.
Built in 1895 as an inn on the new Brenner Railway, the Krone was run for decades by three sisters, Elisabeth, Frieda and Hilde. In 1946 their father turned an old manure pit into Klausen's first swimming pool. A television film from the 1980s captured this chapter.
