The House

130 years. Five generations. A temporary home.

When the Brenner railway connected Klausen with the world in 1895, the Krone inn arose opposite the station. Today it has become a Smart Apart Hotel, rethought from the ground up.

A building from 1895, reimagined from the ground up.

Behind the listed façade a completely new house has been created: 21 smart apartments for one night, one week or a whole quarter. Self-check-in via smartcode, pool and sauna in the house, and a team that is there for you.

Our story

Three sisters and a pioneer.

Built in 1895 as an inn on the new Brenner railway, the Krone was run for decades by the three sisters Elisabeth, Frieda and Hilde. In 1946 their father built Klausen's first swimming pool out of an old manure pit. A television film from the 1980s captured this chapter.
